What is Botulinum Toxin Type A?

It is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. In a purified form, as is the case with many drugs/medications such as Penicillin. Botulinum toxin is a very safe, effective treatment not only used in cosmetic clinics, but also for a number of medical conditions, including migraine and excessive sweating.

All botulinum toxins are prescription only medicines and can only be prescribed by register doctors in Australia, following a face-to-face assessment and consultation with the qualified prescriber.

PRP Therapy

 What is it?

PRP therapy helps to accelerate and promote the body ‘s natural healing and rejuvenation process without subjecting patients to significant risk. Blood is taken directly from the patient, in a procedure similar to a blood test. The blood placed in a centrifuge, which separates the red blood cells from PRP. The PRP is then directly injected into the focus area to support and help accelerate the process of tissue regeneration and repair.

PRP contains fundamental growth factors, which are activated by the platelets which help initiate the tissue regeneration process. For example, when you cut yourself, the body’s natural response is to attract platelets that release growth factors and facilitate healing. By concentrating the platelets we increase the release of growth factors.
